Fort Mason Off The Grid Starts March 22!

Just a reminder that Fort Mason Off The Grid starts back up on March 22, 2013!  5-10pm // 30 trucks!

Bay Area Mobile Food Vendors Association (MFVA) Launched @BayAreaMFVA

On November 23, 2012, the Bay Area Mobile Food Vendors’ Association was founded!  They are working on becoming a 501(c)(6) non-profit and all Bay Area food trucks are encouraged to join.  Here is a link to their Facebook and Twitter pages.  This unification of food trucks couldn’t come at a better time as local governments, including the city of San Francisco, are proposing new rules for food trucks.

Wow – where do I begin? Several new trucks launched in the past few weeks:

@eatmorebbq – Texas-style barbecue serving out of Redwood City
@spiceitupcafe – An Asian-Fusion dessert truck!
@Bibigoq – Sporadically serving around SF
@eatfuki – more like a food trailer that serves bowls and salads with a rotating selection (mostly at the SOMA StrEat food park)
@StrEatBrew – SF’s first beer & wine truck! Serving primarily at the SOMA StrEat food park (EDIT: actually @brewtrucsf was the first!)
@SugarTreeMobile – San Jose-based old fashioned candy shoppe / trailor
@Municher – serving a graduated scale of mild-to-super-spicy foods
@HongryKong – Hong Kong Café inspired dishes

Food Trucks at all Stanford football home games!

Moveable Feast teamed up with Stanford to bring food trucks to all of the football home games!  14 trucks will be serving – free admission, open to the public, rain or shine.  Here is the Facebook event.

Food trucks serve at Phono Del Sol Festival this Saturday (7/21)

Music and food always go great together! This Saturday (7/21), dine at 7 of San Francisco’s finest food trucks in Potrero del Sol Park (entrance at 25th & Utah Street). Here is a link to the Phono del Sol Music and Food Festival website. Tickets are $7 – $10.  Trucks serving are:

New food truck pod in Oakland (3rd and Webster) @MyShrimpShack @SWEETTREATSTOP

A new food truck pod is getting started on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Oakland at 3rd and Webster! The pod will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am – 2pm. My Shrimp Shack and Sweet Treat Stop are headlining the opening day.

Two trucks have launched this month and have been added to the website: Roderick’s and Grilled Cheese Bandits.

San Mateo Urban Market Opening 6/25 @UrbanTable

A new food truck event is launching on Mondays from 4-8:30 @ the Caltrain Parking Lot (385 1st St) in San Mateo! There will be 6 Food Trucks + a Mini Farmers’ Market. The event is being organized by Urban Table, which has historically been a farmers’ market organizer and promoter. They are now combining the farmers’ market concept with food trucks.

New truck: Tres Truck @TresTruck

Tres Truck, the mobile component to Tres’ Tequila Lounge & Mexican Kitchen (130 Townsend) just launched!  The truck will be at SoMa StrEat Food Park today (6/18) serving mobile Mexican cuisine.

we will be @somastreatfood park on monday for lunch 11-3! bacon-wrapped hot dogs, tacos, elote, chicharones, aguas frescas!
